Charterclaim Introduction
Charterclaim evaluates and presents time charter and speed performance claims.
The first version was released in 1990. It is widely used by owners, charterers and operators in both dry cargo and tanker trades.
The user enters the charter party terms and data from the vessel log abstracts. The program then checks the data and calculates the claim, yielding significant savings in the time of skilled personnel. If claims become the subject of negotiation, Charterclaim will considerably enhance a negotiating position. The cost of the program is soon recouped.
Features Include:
Fixture date Name of vessel and charter Dry cargo or tanker Several speeds and consumptions for interpolation All weathers or exclusions as per Beaufort Scale Benefit of good performance in bad weather Bunker prices and speeds for each voyage Charter-party form Speeds and consumptions Margins + - on speeds and consumptions Rate of hire on daily, monthly or per tonnes deadweight basis Actual distance steamed or as per BP distance tables Facility to save and recall details Log abstract details: fuel, diesel, hours, minutes, distance and wind
